The Ibanez Altstar was designed so that fans of Ibanez electric guitars and the electric guitar in general, could more seamlessly transition to an acoustic instrument. What makes this possible is Altstar acoustics incorporate many of the same build proportions as their electric counterparts. This results in an easier shift to acoustics for players that feel most at home on electric guitar.
