I pickup humbucker Alnico II Pro HB al manico (APH-1n) di Seymour Duncan offrono un attacco treble morbido ed un low-string pull del magnete Alnico 2, combinato con un output vintage speciale per creare un tono caldo e dolce che risulta morbido e pieno, con molto sustain naturale. Gli alti suonano spessi e realmente musicali, mentre i bassi sono caldi e burrosi. Il risultato è un pickup molto sensibile all'attacco. Il pickup Alnico II Pro HB al ponte (APH-1b) offre invece alti morbidi e articolati, e bassi caldi e spugnosi. Se combinato con un amplificatore high-gain valvolare, il tono distorto risulta espressivo. Slash stesso ha usato questi pickup in Appetite for Destruction.
