Quando Slash ha avuto l'onore di avere un modello signature di Gibson Les Paul, Seymour Duncan ha inviato gli stessi humbucker Alnico 2 Pro che il chitarrista dei Guns'n'Roses aveva utilizzato per decenni. Purtroppo però, la nuova chitarra di Slash suonava in maniera notevolmente differente rispetto all'originale. Quindi Seymour Duncan ha accettato la sfida di produrre dei nuovi pickup che producessero esattamente lo stesso suono della AFD Les Paul originale. Alnico II Pro Slash (Neck)
When Slash was given the honor of having a Gibson Les Paul Signature model built, we sent over the same Alnico 2 Pro humbuckers that he has used for decades. Turns out, the new guitars sounded noticeably different than the original. So, we accepted the challenge to make him a new pickup that would make all of his new signature guitars sound just like the original AFD Les Paul. The result is the Slash Signature Model humbucker.
