Shure earphones feature a low-profile shape designed to rest comfortably in the ear. The over-the-ear cable configuration provides a more secure fit and keeps the cables out of the way.
Here’s how to put them in. First, identify the left and right earphones by locating the L and R or red and blue dots on the inner side of the earphone body. Red means right, blue means left.
All Shure SE earphones are designed to be worn with the cable running up and over the ear. The SE112 can also be worn with the cable hanging down.
To put the earphone in, form a hook with the cable.
If you are using the foam sleeves, compress the foam with your fingers like you would a foam earplug before inserting.
Place the “hook” over your ear and gently push the sleeve into your ear. You can also put the earphone in at a slight angle forward, and then rotate it about a quarter turn back to help it seat properly.
The earphone should rest securely and comfortably – almost flush with your outer ear. When worn correctly, the Shure logo will be right-side up. It should feel – and sound – like you’re wearing an earplug.
The cable can hang down in front or in back.
For an even more secure fit while performing or exercising, adjust the cable cinch snugly against the back of your head.
